 | Hit Streak Over, River Kings Stop Cook Friday, March 17th , 2045 The San Juan HS River Kings pitching staff did its job, holding hot-hitting Denzel Cook hitless in 1 at-bat during the club's 18-2 victory over the Anaheim HS Diablos at River Kings Park. The disappointing performance ended a 23-game hitting streak for the third baseman. "I'm a little down right now," Cook said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." Cook is batting .397 with 4 home runs and 12 RBIs this season. |   |
