 | Cook Rips 3 HR Monday, March 20th , 2045 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Querétaro HS Buffaloes. Anaheim HS third baseman Denzel Cook tripled up on the home runs to propel the Diablos to a win, 15-5, at Diablos Grounds. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Querétaro HS manager said. "Cook hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Cook collected 4 hits in 6 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Denzel Cook hit a two-run home run off Angel Aguilar in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Angel Aguilar in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Brent Rugg in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this year, Cook has hit .419 with 7 home runs and 18 RBIs. |   |
