| Kliment Keeps Hit Streak Alive Tuesday, March 21st , 2045 Zach Kliment has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 15-year-old Wichita HS Diamondbacks first baseman extended his streak to 25 games, going 2-for-6 as Wichita HS got the best of the Soyapango HS Jackals at Chase Field, 8-7.
"Zach has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Diamondbacks manager said. Zach Kliment grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Santiago Jaramillo in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and struck out in the 11th.
Kliment has a .352 average and a .398 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 32 hits, 6 home runs and driven in 16 runs. | | |
