| Bautista Pops 3 Out of the Park Against Jackals Friday, March 31st , 2045 Some days you can't have it all, as Tijuana HS Sky Chiefs second baseman Jose Bautista discovered when he cracked three homers against the Soyapango HS Jackals, and still lost.
"I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game."
The 16-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Jackals walked away with the triumph, 16-5, at Sky Chiefs Park. Bautista finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 4 RBIs.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview.
Jose Bautista hit a two-run home run off Jesus Galindo in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jose Fuentes in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Luis Ruiz in the 8th.
This season, Bautista is hitting .387 with 36 hits, 16 home runs, 38 RBIs, scored 23 runs and played in 24 games. | | |
