| Tides Floyd Out Rest Of Season Saturday, April 1st , 2045 The doctors have spoken and Zach Floyd of the Guadalupe HS Tides didn't like what he heard. The 15-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Floyd sustained his season-ending injury during the San Juan HS River Kings game yesterday at River Kings Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Guadalupe HS medical staff reported Floyd had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13-14 months.
Floyd has taken the mound for 12 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 6.91 ERA. The Guadalupe HS reliever has limited opposing batters to a .288 batting average. | | |
