| Acedo on Fire: 5-for-6 for San Juan HS Tuesday, April 4th , 2045 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Alex Acedo of the San Juan HS River Kings had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 7-6 win over the Kingston HS Trail Blazers at River Kings Park.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 15-year-old left fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Alex Acedo singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Fergus Glyn in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
So far this season, Acedo has recorded a .354 batting average with 40 hits, 2 home runs, 12 RBIs, 22 runs scored and a .467 OBP. | | |
