 | Commo Slaps 5 Hits Wednesday, April 5th , 2045 Today at Blasters Grounds, Sam Commo put on an impressive display. The Brampton HS Blasters center fielder tagged Cuernavaca HS pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Cuernavaca HS Mallards by the score of 8-6. "The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Commo said. "5-for-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, the Blasters manager was unwilling to offer the center fielder much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses. "Sam told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager said. Sam Commo singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Commo is currently batting .299 with 2 home runs and 19 RBIs. |   |
