 | Mealing Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Saturday, April 6th , 2041 Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day, so it was a special occasion for Diablos's Kareem Mealing at Puebla HS Stadium. Mealing put up a 5-for-6 line against the Puebla HS Peacocks, swinging the bat with authority all day despite his club's eventual 5-4 loss. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Mealing said after the game. "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but it's disappointing to lose." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name in the record books. Kareem Mealing tripled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 9th and singled in the 11th. This season, Mealing has hit at a .415 clip with 18 RBIs, 3 home runs and 29 runs scored. He has played in 30 games. |   |
