The Xico HS Continentals reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Ecatepec HS Seawolves and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Ortiz was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a stretched elbow ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 8-9 months.
