The Toledo HS Zips right fielder failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats, bringing his tenure in the national spotlight to a halt. Despite the tough day at the plate, Garner seemed unconcerned after the game, talking instead about the Zips beating the Superstars, 2-1. "It was good while it lasted," Garner said. "If it had to end, I'm glad it ended with a victory." This season, Garner is batting .457 with 69 hits and 27 home runs. He has scored 53 times and has 72 RBI. |   |
