The Pachuca HS 89ers grabbed the 8-3 win over the Villahermosa HS Navigators, but the Navigators mound staff did what nobody else could -- they stopped the 22-game hitting streak of 89ers second baseman Carlos Colon. "We might have focused a bit too much on stopping Colon," Villahermosa HS manager commented afterward. "He had a nice hitting streak going, but the 89ers have other hitters and they did their job today." Thus far this year, Colon is hitting .351 with 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |   |
