 | Tides Advance to Round 2 Tuesday, April 25th , 2045 The Guadalupe HS Tides "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Round 1 and eliminating the Guatemala HS Atlantics, according to series MVP Bobby Escobedo. "This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 2 and looking towards the Round 3," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine." Guadalupe HS won the final game 12-10, to wrap up the series 4-2. Escobedo led his team to the series win by putting up a .593 average, with a .656 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 13 runs. The Guadalupe HS Tides don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Kingston HS Trail Blazers - Nashville HS Nobles series. Nashville HS leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
