 | Green Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Thunder Cats Saturday, March 19th , 2044 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Charlotte HS Thunder Cats. New York HS first baseman Dennis Green tripled up on the home runs to propel the Spikes to a win, 15-1, at Spikes Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Charlotte HS manager said. "Green hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Green collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 8 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Dennis Green grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Hugh Tedesco in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Sal Soto in the 5th, flied out in the 5th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Andy Schrager in the 7th. This season, Green has hit at a .359 clip with 18 RBIs, 7 home runs and 20 runs scored. He has played in 18 games. |   |
