 | Rubio Collects Cycle Monday, March 24th , 2042 Tijuana HS's Gabe Rubio accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Rubio finished 4-for-5 with 3 runs batted in and 2 runs scored and helped the Sky Chiefs knock off the Port-au-Prince HS Sky Sox, 8-3, at Sky Chiefs Park. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Rubio told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Gabe Rubio doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Naim Masson in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. This season, Rubio is batting .330 with 29 hits, 3 home runs, 17 RBIs, 14 walks, .422 OBP and has scored 19 runs. He has played in 21 games. |   |
