SL2 Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named

He may only be 16, but Javier Loya of the Nashville HS Nobles has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the Conference 2.

The reliever was today named the SL2 Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2042.

He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 1 save in 13 relief appearances and 14 strikeouts in 18.1 innings. He had a record of 2-0 to go with his 1.47 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 30. Jesus Jimenez of the Kingston HS Trail Blazers finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Mark Robison of the Charlotte HS Thunder Cats finished third with 2 first place votes.
