 | 2042 SL1 Best Player, Torreón HS's Gonzalez Thursday, May 29th , 2042 He may have less experience than most of his FBL High School 2 peers, but that didn't slow Vinny Gonzalez down at all in 2042. At the age of 15, the Torreón HS left fielder has been named the winner of the Conference 1 Most Valuable Player Award. He had a .459 batting average and a .549 on-base percentage this year. In 37 games he piled up 67 hits, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 20 home runs, 58 RBIs and 51 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 30. Jared Wilson of the Indianapolis HS Shamrocks finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Ben Hardaway of the Kansas City HS Victory finished third with 4 first place votes.
