 | Kevin Weatherdon Bashes Three over the Wall Wednesday, April 6th , 2044 It was a good day for the Brampton HS Blasters and an exceptional one for Kevin Weatherdon. The 14-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Blasters beat the New York HS Spikes, 20-9, at Spikes Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Weatherdon said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Kevin Weatherdon walked in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Leonard Cosmo in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Steve Pluta in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Chris Gray in the 8th. This season, Weatherdon has delivered 33 hits in 106 at-bats for a .311 average with 10 home runs. He is getting on base at a .463 clip and his totals also include 30 RBIs and 25 runs scored.
