| Great Stroke: Ezell Gets 5 Hits Thursday, April 7th , 2044 It seemed that New York HS second baseman Jamel Ezell could do no wrong as the Spikes KO'd the Peacocks, 16-10. Ezell rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Peacocks hurlers were throwing.
"I think the Spikes were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Puebla HS fan after the game.
"I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Ezell in the postgame press interview.
Jamel Ezell hit a GRAND SLAM off Victor Gurrola in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season, Ezell has 11 home runs and a .345 batting average. | | |
