Carlos Romero of the Matamoros HS Foresters had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 19-11 win over the Kansas City HS Victory at Victory Park. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 18-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Carlos Romero struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Harry Willard in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season, Romero is batting at a .316 clip with 13 home runs and 37 RBIs. |   |
