 | Lemoine Belts Bunch of Base Hits Sunday, April 24th , 2044 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Guy Lemoine, it came around today. The 15-year-old catcher scattered hits all over Victory Park to pace the 17-8 Port-au-Prince HS Sky Sox victory over the Kansas City HS Victory. Kansas City HS skipper told reporters in the press room that "Lemoine deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Lemoine hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Guy Lemoine singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year in 36 games, Lemoine is hitting .295 with 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |   |
