 | Bluebirds Prevail, as Round 1 Goes to the Wire Tuesday, May 6th , 2042 It took a while, but the Camagüey College Bluebirds finally disposed of the New York College Braves 5-3 in the series clincher at Bluebirds Park. Winning the finale gave the Bluebirds the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the Round 2. The Most Valuable Player Award went to Camagüey College left fielder Ricky Castillo. He batted .448 in the series, collecting 12 RBIs and scoring 7 runs. The Camagüey College Bluebirds will play against the Laval College Keys in the next round. Laval College won their series against the Zapopan College Golden Panthers 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
