This year's Pitcher of the Year Award winner stood out by running up an impressive 5-1 record, holding opposing hitters to a .254 batting average and posting a 3.26 ERA. The 20-year-old hurler tossed 60.2 innings, gave up 61 hits, fanned 61 and issued 15 walks.
SL1 Presents Outstanding Pitcher Award Monday, June 9th , 2042 Willie Chavez of the Camagüey College Bluebirds was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 4-0 won-lost mark and 2.79 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2042 Conference 1 Pitcher of the Year Award.
In 58 innings of work and 11 starts, Chavez struck out 62 while giving up 42 hits and 22 walks. He held opposing batters to a .200 average.
