 | Rivera Goes 5-for-5 Against San Antonio College Monday, March 14th , 2039 It seemed that El Paso College right fielder Andy Rivera could do no wrong as the Avengers KO'd the Loggerheads, 13-4. Rivera rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Loggerheads hurlers were throwing. "I think the Avengers were stealing signs," growled one unhappy San Antonio College fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Rivera in the postgame press interview. Andy Rivera hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Fernando Galvan in the 9th. For the year, Rivera is batting .460 with 7 home runs, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |   |
