 | Hit Parade: Leal Pops 5 Hits Sunday, March 19th , 2045 The Spurs whipped the Avengers, 25-4, at Guatemala College Stadium and Alex Leal had a big hand in the win. The Spurs second baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Leal and a tough day for El Paso College. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Leal delivered -- 5-for-5 is outstanding in any league. Alex Leal walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th. This year, Leal is hitting .472, produced 14 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 15 times and gotten on base at a .508 rate. |   |
