After today, Julio Rivera can celebrate. The Laval College Keys catcher powered three into the stands at Keys Park against the Zapopan College Golden Panthers. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Rivera told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Keys toppled Zapopan College by a score of 14-1, knocking in 7 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Laval College manager said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Julio Rivera walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ernie Kempf in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Manny Gonzalez in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Rafael Lopez in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
