| Morel 21-Game Hitting Streak Ends Tuesday, March 28th , 2045 Carrefour College third baseman Vincent Morel went 0-for-4 in Carrefour College's 5-4 triumph over the New York College Braves, snapping his 21-game hitting streak.
Morel spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later."
"I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though."
When Morel made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending.
"There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," Braves manager said of Morel's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."
At present, Morel is batting .358 with 34 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 22 runs and scored 17 times. | | |
