 | Rodriguez Finally Fails, Streak Ends at 20 Tuesday, April 11th , 2045 El Paso College Avengers second baseman Tony Rodriguez finally met his Waterloo. A 20-game hitting spree is now history after Rodriguez was unable to make anything happen in 2 at-bats today against the Detroit College Sailors. Fortunately for Rodriguez and the Avengers, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 10-7. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 20 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." In 32 games this year, Rodriguez has posted a .331 average and put up these numbers: 8 home runs, 16 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |   |
