 | Hot Bat Cooled, Bixby Hitless Against Magicians Saturday, April 6th , 2041 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Mike Bixby as he saw his 23-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 2 at-bats at the hands of the León College Magicians. It wasn't all bad for the 20-year-old second baseman and the Milwaukee College Diamond Dawgs however, as they defeated León College, 5-1, at Magicians Park. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Bixby laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." So far this season, Bixby has gotten 40 hits in 116 at-bats for a .345 batting average with 18 home runs. His stats include 33 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has played in 28 games. |   |
