Venegas rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Rangers hurlers were throwing. "I think the Sailors were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Toronto College fan after the game. "I felt good. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Venegas in the postgame press interview. Elias Venegas singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
