The New York College Braves left fielder tore up the Laval College Keys to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Keys Park. The offensive onslaught from Collins powered the 15-13 Braves win.
"Collins was a tough out," Laval College manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
John Collins hit a solo-shot off Griffin Carpenter in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Griffin Carpenter in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Matt Patterson in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 8th.
