 | Fuentes Bombs 3 HR Against Carrefour College Tuesday, May 9th , 2045 Jose Fuentes brutalized the Carrefour College Sabercats pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 22-9 Panama College victory at Sabercats Park. The Panama College Flyers first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-7 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Jose Fuentes today," Sabercats manager said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Jose Fuentes struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Vincent Jacquin in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Robinet in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Aubin Perrin in the 8th and struck out in the 8th. Thus far this year, Fuentes is hitting .317 with 16 home runs, 43 RBIs and 35 runs scored. |   |
