 | Thunder Cats O'Malley Raps 3 Homers Thursday, May 11th , 2045 It was a good day for the San Miguelito College Thunder Cats and an exceptional one for Phil O'Malley. The 20-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Thunder Cats beat the Miami College Reds, 11-4, at Great American Ball Park. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," O'Malley said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 5 at-bats. Phil O'Malley hit a solo-shot off Mark Homminga in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Homminga in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Gary Hannan in the 9th. So far this year, O'Malley is hitting .363 with 23 home runs. |   |
