The Sluggers were led by Carlos Cid, their 20-year-old center fielder. Cid made life miserable for Detroit College pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. Carlos Cid singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
