 | Harper Smacks 3 Out of the Park Sunday, March 30th , 2042 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the El Paso College Avengers. Toronto College right fielder Chris Harper tripled up on the home runs to propel the Rangers to a win, 8-3, at Globe Life Field. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," El Paso College manager said. "Harper hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Harper collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Chris Harper flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jeff Thullen in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jeff Thullen in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Marquise Stewart in the 7th. To date this season, Harper is hitting .408 with 12 home runs. |   |
