| BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! 4 HR for Smith Sunday, March 30th , 2042 Hitting a single home run is a tough task. Hitting two in a game is impressive. Hitting three is remarkable. Anything beyond that is borderline unbelievable -- yet that's what Todd Smith did today in the 17-10 New York College Night Riders victory over the Hamilton College Clowns.
Smith went 5-for-6 with 4 home runs and drove in 7 runs in a once-in-a-lifetime feat that the opposing manager later labeled "impossible."
"I don't believe it really happened," Clowns manager joked to BNN reporters afterward. "I don't ever enjoy losing a game, but this kid was special today. I have never seen a guy hit 4 in a game before. I didn't enjoy it, but it was special."
Todd Smith hit a two-run home run off Avery Williams in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Newt Neaves in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Cyril Henry in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Vernon Britten in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Smith is batting .333 with 17 home runs and 34 RBIs. | | |
