 | 5-for-5 Day for Bouret Sunday, April 20th , 2042 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Lorenzo Bouret, it came around today. The 20-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Bluebirds Park to pace the 13-4 Camagüey College Bluebirds victory over the Vancouver College Players. Vancouver College skipper told reporters in the press room that "Bouret deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Bouret hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Lorenzo Bouret doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Ridell in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Forrest Weareorwear in the 7th. Bouret on the season is hitting .407 with 14 home runs. His stats include 43 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |   |
