 | Villegas Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, April 25th , 2045 Marcos Villegas, catcher for the Westerville Vikings, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 10-7 victory over the Workmore Horned Frogs at Westerville Grounds. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Marcos Villegas walked in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Willie Camacho in the 8th. In 13 games this season, Villegas has compiled a .391 batting average with 18 hits and 4 home runs. He has also scored 14 times and knocked in 14 runs. |   |
