 | Salgado Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, May 9th , 2045 Jose Salgado exploded for a barrage of base hits at Red Claws Grounds. The Modoc shortstop had a field day in his team's 21-4 triumph over the Vancouver Orcas, finishing 5-for-6. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Salgado must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Jose Salgado hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jesus Sias in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 7th. So far this season, Salgado is batting .270 with 1 home run. |   |
