 | Alvin Vargas Captures SL1 Award Monday, May 15th , 2045 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Sub League 1, but last week Alvin Vargas of the New Haven Patriots reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Vargas rocked opposing pitching for a .393 average (11-for-28), 3 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award. For the year, Vargas is batting .353 with 18 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 13 times and driven in 16. |   |
