 | Branson Withers Injured, Out for Year Wednesday, July 26th , 2045 Branson Withers will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Winnipeg reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Withers was injured while throwing a pitch in the Swordsmen-Beavers clash at Beavers Park recently. Doctors said he has a damaged elbow ligament and would be out a minimum of 12 months. For the year, Withers has 24 relief appearances and a 2-2 record with no saves. He has logged 25.2 innings and allowed 21 base hits. Opposing clubs have put up a .212 batting average against him. Withers has rung up 24 strikeouts, surrendered 7 walks and fashioned a 3.51 ERA. |   |
