He easily handled Rattlers pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Limones triumph, 9-5, at Keyesport Landing Grounds. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of McCarther's quip, Rattlers skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Alan McCarther singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
