| Torres Smacks 5 Hits for Steelhounds Tuesday, May 27th , 2042 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the North Salem's 15-4 win over Ottawa, left fielder Dave Torres was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Washington Stadium.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Torres said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Dave Torres grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Aaron Richmond in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Reyes in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Torres is batting .371 with 11 home runs. | | |
