 | Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Martinz Wednesday, July 27th , 2044 Miguel Martinz's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Modoc center fielder smacked 1 hit against the Newark Silverbacks in today's game at Red Claws Grounds, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Red Claws drop the game, 11-5. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Miguel Martinz flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. Martinz's current batting average stands at .331 and he has chalked up 16 home runs and 66 RBIs. |   |
