| Hudgens's Boardley Takes 2041 Most Valuable Player Award Tuesday, October 29th , 2041 He may have less experience than most of his FBL Short Season A peers, but that didn't slow Matt Boardley down at all in 2041.
At the age of 18, the Hudgens left fielder has been named the winner of the Sub League 1 Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .361 batting average and a .443 on-base percentage this year. In 65 games he piled up 91 hits, 12 doubles, 3 triples, 30 home runs, 60 RBIs and 61 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ruben Ruiz of the Havana Bananas finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Dave Parker of the Havana Bananas finished third.
