| Peaches Top Luchadors, 4-2 | Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Luchadors Field.
The Atlanta Peaches picked up a win at Luchadors Field, topping the San Diego Luchadors, 4-2. On the mound for Atlanta was right-hander Jorge Rodriquez. He played a principal role in the triumph. Atlanta reliever Joe Childers picked up the win to move to 3-1. Armando Vega suffered the loss. Chet Corson, who finished 2nd in the IL in saves with 29 in 2038, earned the save for Atlanta.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Jesus Reyes came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing San Diego pitcher Armando Vega, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Atlanta on top, 4-2.
In postgame comments, Reyes said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
The first-place Peaches have a one-game lead in their division.
