Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Seattle Pilots take on the Leon Toltecs.

The Leon Toltecs trumped the Seattle Pilots, 9-5, at Pilots Park. Leon third baseman Justin Bouma was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The Toltecs sport a record of 26-40.

Windsor, Canada-born David Spence came through in the clutch. In the top of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Toltecs trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Leon on top.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Spence told the Leon Today.
