The Dallas Jets stopped the Leon Toltecs, 11-6, at Toltecs Field. The Jets got a big game from Lorenzo Sandoval, who went 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 times. The last-place Toltecs have lost 4 straight games.

The Toltecs had been locked in a 6-6 tie with the Jets going into the top of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 23-year old right fielder Tom Chitty came to the plate. Chitty hit a run-scoring double on a 2-0 fastball from Leon hurler Jared Kiesling. It was Chitty's 15th double of the year.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Dallas skipper David Fields.
