| Pioneers Suffer 3-1 Road Loss | The Leon Toltecs converted a terrific effort from starter Julio Labron into a win over the San Francisco Pioneers at Toltecs Field. The Toltecs won the game by a final score of 3-1. The win puts Leon at 30-54.
Ben Ingram went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI for Leon. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Mike Ludwigs. It was his 29th hit of the season.
"I think every team will tell you that the pitching sets the tone, especially the starters," said Leon skipper David Fields.
