Sunrays Win with Late Rally
The Tampa Bay Sunrays and Toronto Robbers fought to the finish at Mounties Park.

The Tampa Bay Sunrays dealt the Toronto Robbers a 5-4 loss at Mounties Park. Tom Boatright Jr., who is tied for 2nd in the IL in triples with 2, was the star on offense. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The win brings the Sunrays to 13-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Tampa Bay used the timely hitting of Ajani Brown to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Sunrays on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Boatright Jr. said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
