Smallman Slugs 3 Homers, Mammoths Get 13-5 Win
The Montreal Mammoths topped the Tampa Bay Sunrays, 13-5, with shortstop David Smallman playing a big role. Smallman belted 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times for the Mammoths in the win. Montreal pitcher Dan Trevino earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Jeff Bolser suffered the loss. The Mammoths have now won 6 straight.

Smallman contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Montreal in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Smallman took a forkball from Jeff Bolser and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Mammoths to leap in front, 4-2.

"Very good win for our guys," said Smallman.
